Prince Paul is a full member of the Royal Family of Romania and the birth of his son Prince Carol Ferdinand in 2010 reinforced the family links<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to his\u00a0great-uncle Prince Nicolae’s widow, Princess Thereza, whom\u00a0he\u00a0met in Madrid,\u00a0Prince Paul celebrated Christmas\u00a0in Salzburg with\u00a0his great-aunt\u00a0Princess Ileana,\u00a0King Carol II\u2019s sister.\u00a0\u00a0She\u00a0founded a Romanian orthodox monastery in Pennsylvania.\u00a0Both\u00a0had met\u00a0earlier\u00a0in the United States in 1979\/80.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prince Paul returned to Salzburg with his wife, Lia to gather with his  cousin Maria Magdalena von \u00d6sterreich-Toskana von Holzhausen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the birth of\u00a0Prince\u00a0Carol Ferdinand\u00a0in 2010,\u00a0Prince Paul’s cousins Maria Magdalena (Magi) and her sister Elisabeth\u00a0von Habsburg\u00a0Sandhofer\u00a0<\/strong>came to\u00a0his\u00a0house in Bucharest to meet\u00a0the newborn. The photo\u00a0was taken\u00a0in front of the portrait of Prince Nicolae, their uncle\u00a0and Prince Paul\u2019s great-uncle. Archduchess Magi came later to hold Prince Carol Ferdinand in her arms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
