In the international fight against apartheid, HRH Princess Lea organized an auction of great pieces of art from renowned artists like Dali or Pollock and convinced famous American artists to donate a work of art each. Mickael Johnson allowed his own home to be used for this auction and major celebrities like Marlon Brando were part of the organizing committee chaired by Princess Lea. Years later, Michael Johnson contacted the Princess to meet the royal couple in Paris in order to thank them for their tireless efforts for human rights. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During a concert given by Julio Iglesias in Bucharest, the Prince Paul Foundation for Romania managed to raise 310,000 EUR worth of shipment donated to eight Romanian hospitals. Julio Iglesias wrote to TRH to thank them for their charitable work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Placindo Domingo and his wife have been Prince Paul\u2019s friends for many years since being introduced in London at the invitation of Baron and Baroness of Porta-Nova at The Claridge Hotel a short time before the fall of Ceaucescu. Years later, Prince Paul met the Three Tenors in Dusseldorf to share with them the good news of his coming wedding with Princess Lia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lord Grade, music mogul and owner of ITV, discovered Tom Jones at the time Prince Paul was a photographer. Years later, Tom Jones was the headliner for a music art festival in Romania and invited Prince Paul to the concert. A donation was made in his name by the Prince Paul Foundation for Romania. The Union of Professional Journalists of Romania (UZPR), the “Mihai Eminescu” International Foundation, and the National Museum of Romanian Literature received on Wednesday, November 13, the volume “A Royal Tribute to Romania brought by the Great-Grandson of HM King Ferdinand, H.R.H. Prince Paul of Romania.” The event took place in the rotunda of the National Museum of Romanian Literature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The book was presented to the president of UZPR, Mr. Doru Dinu Gl\u0103van, and the president of the “Mihai Eminescu” International Foundation, Mr. Ioan Curtean de Hondor, by H.R.H. Prince Paul and Princess Lia of Romania,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
